Access and services for the disabled
Is Futuroscope accredited for disabled visitors ?
Futuroscope was awarded the national Tourism & Handicap Label of Distinction in 2004 in recognition of its facilities for physically and mentally handicapped visitors and visitors with hearing difficulties. This label of distinction requires the holder to sign a charter of commitment.
What reductions do you give?
We offer a 40% reduction on the price of a 1-day or 2-day entry ticket upon presentation of a disability card at the ticket booth (discount not available for persons accompanying disabled visitors). A discount is also applied to bookings for breaks. Call the booking service on +33 5 49 49 11 12 for information.
What facilities are available at the entrance to Futuroscope?
Wheelchairs can be hired from the entrance and from the TGV-Futuroscope train station (reservations are not required. Subject to availability). Price: 5 € per day, deposit required.
The following attractions are available in Audiovision (commentary for the blind and partially sighted): Dinosaurs, Deep Sea 3D, Travellers by Air and by Sea, Dynamic Vienne, Wings of Courage. Audio headsets can be borrowed free of charge from the entrance and the TGV-Futuroscope train station (deposit required. Subject to availability).
What services and facilities are available inside Futuroscope?
Priority access to the CLUB FUTUROSCOPE agency.
The visitor's guide that is handed out at the entrance shows a recommended itinerary (arrowed) for visitors in wheelchairs, including rest stages.
Adapted entrance facilities provide easy access to restaurants. The boutiques also provide disabled access and adapted cash desks.
Which attractions offer access for the disabled?
Priority access is available at the entrance to the attractions for disabled visitors and their escorts upon presentation of a disability card (limited to 4 people). Ask the hosts or hostesses for details. They can help disabled visitors with access to the attractions, but for safety reasons may not carry them. Wheelchair access restrictions apply for the following attractions: Dances with Robots, Lapland Express, The Best of Dynamic Cinema, Race for Atlantis and certain games in Children’s World – visitors in wheelchairs must be transferred to one of the dynamic seats or use one of the designated wheelchair places. Star of the Future! does not have access for visitors with reduced mobility.
Please arrive at the attractions 15 minutes before the start of each performance. Capacity is limited in each theatre and all available places for the performance may already be taken by the time you arrive. If this happens, notify a host or hostess at the attraction so that you will be given priority access to the next performance.
